Vedco was formed by Vernon Delpesce after he retired from an extensive career in non-profit leadership. He serves as an independent consultant specializing in financial development and nonprofit leadership working with non-profit organizations and ministries both locally and nationally.

In early 2016 he retired from a 38-year career with the YMCA including fourteen years serving as President/CEO of the YMCA of Greater Des Moines. Throughout his career he has worked with the YMCA of the USA, and YMCA’s in Houston, Texas and Toledo, Ohio. He is a graduate of the University of Houston. He is also very involved in the community serving on several boards and volunteering in his local church.

Vernon and his wife Lauren split their time between West Des Moines and their rural home in southern Iowa. They have two married children and three grandchildren.
